About Us
The Pequannock Township Regional Chamber of Commerce is a sounding board for you. If you have a complaint or problem, give us a call and we will investigate any question you may raise. By supporting our community, we have been able to be a part of many worthwhile projects in Pequannock Township.
History:
The Chamber was formed in 1993 by a group of local business men and women who saw a need to increase awareness of and support for our business community. Since our formation, we have grown from a handful of members to over 100 retailers, professionals and industrial businesses.
Our Accomplishments:
The Chamber of Commerce helped to raise money for the "Welcome to Pequannock Township" signs on Route 23, whether you enter the Township from the north or the south. This project was done in conjunction with the Pequannock Township Historical District Commission.
We also made available to businesses "Welcome to Pequannock Township" signs where businesses are able to sponsor a sign. These signs -- seven in all -- are located at designated spots where one enters the Township of Pequannock. These beautiful wooden signs are made by a local woodworker and for a small fee, businesses sponsor the sign which shows the "Welcome to Pequannock Township" and their business name below.
The Chamber was also responsible for the "Pequannock Township" banners and the American flags seen on many of the poles lining Newark Pompton Turnpike. A business may either put their logo on the bottom of the Pequannock Township banner, or may choose to list their business on a plaque attached to an American flag.
Working hand-in-hand with the Pequannock Rotary, Atlantic Stewardship Bank, and the Chamber erected the two town clocks -- one located at "The Point" and the other located across the street from Scanlan's Funeral Home.
We also sponsor a local directory listing all member businesses, which is another form of free advertisement for our members.
And, finally, our annual Street Fair, which is held every June. The Chamber sponsors this event every year. Residents look forward to the fun, food and vendors, as well as getting to know the Chamber member businesses. Members enjoy a discount on a space purchased for the Street Fair.
